Eric Cooper, founder and president of the National Urban Alliance for Effective Education: "Arts education enables those children from a financially challenged background to have a more level playing field with children who have had those enrichment experiences."
When Lori Triplett of Imago Dei approached USC staff about starting a Youth Arts Initiative at the USC, we couldn't have been more pleased. The twenty-one students in the Life Enrichment program are now learning to act, improvise, create, and explore the world around them--and they're having a blast doing it! Many thanks to Lori and the dedicated volunteer staff who are making this program a reality.
