Make a lasting impact in the life of a child by serving one hour a day, one day a week, in a local elementary school. The USC engages adult mentors in the lives of teachers and students at various elementary schools for three primary reasons:

(1) Mentoring builds key relationships with students, teachers, administrators and parents.

(2) Mentoring builds a foundation of trust which increases the chance that both the students and their parents will become engaged in ministry programs at The USC.

(3) Mentoring helps to increase literacy and other educational skills in students.

Spend one hour a week in a local elementary school, helping a teacher, reading to a student, helping in a classroom, or just being a caring adult who listens.

Volunteer Commitment: One hour, one day a week during the school year.
