Mentor at Mark Twain
The USC engages adults mentors in the lives of students at Mark Twain Elementary School for three primary reasons:
(1) Mentoring builds key relationships with students, teachers, administrators and parents.
(2) Mentoring builds a foundation of trust which increases the chance that both the students and their parents will become engaged in ministry programs at The USC.
(3) Mentoring increases literacy and other educational skills in students.
Spend one hour a week in Mark Twain Elementary School reading to a student, helping in a classroom, or just being a caring adult who listens.
Volunteer Commitment: One hour, one day a week during the school year.
