Soul Food is a discipleship ministry for grades K-12 that meets every Wednesday from 5:30-8:00 during the school year. Students share a meal, have praise and worship God, small group Bible study and take part in interactive learning activities.

Volunteer Opportunities: (1) Discipleship Mentor (2) Servers (3) Child-Care Servants

(1) Discipleship Mentors lead small group Bible study following an established curriculum.   K-5 classes are kept within a 1:5 mentor to student ratio. Middle and high school groups are separated by gender and are kept with a 1:7 ratio.  Time: 5:00-8:30

(2) Servers prepare and serve the meal and clean the kitchen area after serving. This is a great opportunity for church cell-groups.  Time commitment: 4:30-6:30

(3) Child-Care Servants care for children ages newborn to 4 while parents of Soul Food students attend an adult Bible study. Time commitment: 6:00-8:00

Contact Alex Mathew if you would like to volunteer.  If you would like to work directly with children or youth as a Discipleship Mentor or Child-Care Servant, please complete and mail the Volunteer Application to The USC.
